I personally liked this one;
I will follow the advice of my family and physician to obtain whatever treatment is necessary.
WTF, now you have to see a Doc if you drive stoned?

These clowns should not get the opportunity to resign.

They used to ride them out of town on a rail, some traditions should never die...

Although he is a republican, I believe that comment is just the democrat coming out in him.

And yes, you do have to see a doc when you get busted for DUI. It might not be a full blown PHD, but there will be an assesment, and them kuntz think they are god and a doctor all in one.

Re: these cases, political affiliation doesn't matter....I say hang 'em high!

I put five years in chasing speeders and drunks and there is just no excuse!

But, the reality is that their constituents will get to decide their fate. I hope they make the right decision.

Lautenschlager's drunk driving arrest has come under fire by some of her critics, namely former Sen. Brian Burke (D -- Milwaukee), who is currently charged with 18 felonies in the on-going state capitol corruption investigation.

"She should recognize, however, just how lucky she is that her offense, driving a state-owned vehicle drunk, is not currently in fashion in Madison," Burke said in a press release. "The fact that the allegations against me, which I deny, are all the rage in Madison, seems to be the only reason why Attorney General Lautenschlager's 'mistake' has resolved in less than 72 hours for about $800 and the government has spent years and hundreds of thousands of dollars pursuing me. To paraphrase the Attorney General: 'There but for the grace [of the prosecutors] go I'."

Despite the arrest, however, many were quick to support Lautenschlager.

"Attorney General Lautenschlager did today what many people and politicians have avoided doing in the past -- she took responsibility for her actions," Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Linda Honald said in a statement. "The Democratic Party of Wisconsin stands behind our Attorney General one hundred percent during this trying time for her and her family."

...interesting to note that a democrat with 18 felony counts pending, has words of wisdom concerning another democrat's traffic citation.

WI Governor Jim Doyle was against concealed carry for citizens, Governor Jim Doyle was going to make owning anything other than a single shot shotgun or rifle a felony in Wisconsin. I think the actions of his staff have proven once again that only the military and police should have guns, that the general public is not to be trusted and bears considerable watching.
