let the gull get in ground effect then flap twice. Getting up to about 1200 feet is easy with that technique.

so is the trick to try to get your penguin launched to the highest sea gull, then wait till your sea gull almost touches down to make him flap his wings?

trick is....if you go above the horizon, you loose alot of speed.

launch into the air, get caught by either a low flying gull.....so it flys up but not quite into the top. if it does it looses ALOT of speed. but youll get a free flap that way ...in a way...

or launch up high and get caught on the way down...again free distance.

only flap when you get to the sand. and do it twice. so you ride this parabola arc up near the horizon but not on or over it....and flap twice on the way down near the sand again.....and irde the cycle. got near 1500 once....but on that score i only got past 1400 that one time.

there you go.

i'm on my way to wal-mart to go buy that Atari joystick with the 10 games inside to play. $15 and hooks right into the TV. i miss atari. (got stella but not the same as sitting in front of the TV)
