Dubai and Skype

Ive heard that there is a program you can run to be able to use Skype in Dubai. Anybody know anything about it. Thanks.

I couldnt even get on Yahoo last month in Dubai, I guess they do not like social networking, but you can go downstairs from the hotel and get all the ho's you want.

You will need a VPN. There are free ones that work well.

Not sure if this one will work in Dubai, since it only seems to hide your IP. My friend at emirates has to use a VPN. He pays a company in the UK. He connects directly to their server, and then goes to the internet from there. Skype is blocked. Porn sites as well

I have used Skype in my hotel in Dubai plenty of times, worked fine without having to download any special programs....Although I did have trouble running both the voice and video at the same time, so had to nix the video portion and just go with audio.

On that note, http://browser9.com/ can be used to surf banned websites in countries that do that kind of thing.
