Does anyone know if you can test positive for weed from second hand smoke? I was at a concert and some hippie was smokin it. I couldn't really smell it and I sort of left the area, but I know goddam well that it was in the air. Just what I need, some freakin stoner screwing up my life.

The answer..NO WAY.

They build in a huge factor for that "I was just standing there" excuse...If you test positive, you actually used the stuff - no doubt. You will get a second test (same sample) all that does is reconfirm or throw out. If it reads positive - you smoked. (or ate, whatever..)!!

There ARE things that will throw a test off. I was not allowed to take a test b/c I was taking a medication (legal for flight) one time. Be sure to tell them what (if anything) you are taking. I had to come back about a week later - waste of my F'n time...

Personally - I think its all BUL$HIT. Like there is a drug problem in aviation..rediculous. Waste of time and money and personally intrusive.

FYI: Since you're not a regular smoker, you could actually smoke a joint tonight and in two weeks pass a drug test (if you're very lean and hardly smoke).

THC is stored in body fat. So if you're a fat stoner then you're screwed.
