Well, I would say pay your $25 and have the DMV whip you copy of your record then take it down to the local traffic lawyer and see what can be done.
I got a speeding ticket a couple of months before Christmas, some Bull$h!t speeding trap, I was doing ten over on a transition from 55 to 65mph.
Anyway I went to a lawyer, gave him the ticket and paid to have it plead down to: " Defective Equiptment ", somewhat amusing I thought, as the warp-chariot I got my speeding ticket in was a '94 Ford Escort I bought off eBAy for $500, rusty and all kinds of colors.
So I get the court receipt back showing I plead guilty to: " defective equiptment" and thought nothing more of it.....till I changed my insurance carrier after I bought my new ( used, but hey

) car and they stiffed me an extra $35 a month for speeding points!!!!
WTF ! Thinks I, promptly shag a$$ back to the lawyers office, drop another $ 50 and am now waiting for the change to be made.
Well worth paying to not only check that stuff but to also have it cleaned up, just my .02.
Oh yeah, I once wanted an Airline career too, now....after careful thought and 15 years and countless sacrifice I'm thinking I'd rather beat the skin off my face with a bicycle-chain.......
