Curious: if you had the requisite hours for your "dream job", what would that job be? Major airlines? High $$ corporate?? Flying Jimmy Buffet around the islands??

Well, it used to be a job at a major airline.....until I actually flew for a major airline. Great up until the furlough.....but still not the dream job.

Professional Powerball winner!!! Now there is a profession to sink your teeth into. I would probably be the most useless, Personal jet flying, deep sea fishing, and what ever else I can think of, person that you would ever meet!!!!

50 million or so, Lump sum, 20 or so after uncle sams cut, 6 to blow on toys, bank the other 14 million and collect the intrest for beer, bait, and fuel for the toys!!!

Done right and I could bank roll at least two generations of rich losers!!!!!!

I figure by the 3th generation you get to the Paris Hilton mentality, and it all gets pi$$ed away!!

"Not just F you money.....F everybody money" F. Ross Johnson circa late 80's

Ok, back to reality and my PB and J sandwich.

HA! I thought 'snorter was the man until I read Hugh's signature... And they say this board is sexist!

Carry on, gentlemen!TC

Short flights of an hour or less, in an aircraft with some performance (like a 737), perferably with some West Coast flying. Ample time off to do other things (like 17 days off, in blocks of 4 or 5 each). Flying with other pilots with a wide variety of personalities and backgrounds.

Flying for a management that respects its employees and rewards them with good work rules, pay and benefits, as well as allows them to make decisions without second guessing.

Above all, flying for a carrier with a stable future.

This is a dream wish list, right?

I guess for me, it could be either corporate or airline. But, the corporate would have to have scheduled days off, and the airline would have to be stable.

Been through one furlough already, about to experience a second one...can't say that my airline experience has been what I expected or had hoped.

Sure looks that way.

English, at least you got your first paragraph accomplished.

Very disappointed to hear the doom and gloom at AQ.

Dream job: Never having to work again and having a T-38 to fly for **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**s and grins.

Hey I,m up for driving the beaver .......... Especially in the rainy season when its wet.. although from an operational point driving the beaver in winter time can also be a slippery challenge too... Who am I kidding the beaver could be fun all year long..
