Anyone ever applied to be a DPE? Successful?

Any helpful info on the process or "tips" would be appreciated.

Almost impossible....Benn in the "pool" for over 12 years.. Must take the DPE written and re-apply every two years....good luck

If done through your air carrier for your air carrier only checks it is easier. You to establish a need that the FAA is not filling.
