that is 100 % correct but the General will not see that until he atleast gets to High School. I am guess thats about 3 more years. :)

Wow, a genius remark. Slamming instead of debating. Were you a fat bulley in elementary school, and are now just fat?

The only way to beat them is to offer a superior product at an equal or better price. Delta has the ability with the right management(not saying ours, but definitely not current) to do this.

Well DAL does now have the lowest cost structure of any network/legacy carrier. DAL also has some of the best customer satisfaction ratings of any network carrier, just a hair shy of the number one rating according to JD Powers and far better than LCC's. Not bad for a company in BK. DAL is also poised to exit bankruptcy with one of the best balance sheets in the industry and DAL's revenue performance has made some impressive gains. While I have some issues with our management , I have to admit that the current team has done an impressive job of turning this company around and they just might not be as bad as you think they are.

Are you really gonna tattle? Sticks and stones...

Andy:
The only tattle tale on here is 400 ahole!
Its to be expected though because the dude has been banned as:
chuck yogurt
Lawman
Einstein
Boris Yelling
Lame Lizard
Texas crotch rot
sky fly
And I'm sure there are others that have faded off the radar map.
The only other bigger sniveling pos on these boards is the mesa pilot masquerading as an awa pilot and calls himself doug parker.

BTW, I'm glad this nonsense is over, good luck and I hope you guys get a contract you deserve, you definately have the ammo!

Warnings have been sent to all those involved. Nobody had to "tattle". I do try to read all this stuff. Please everyone, enough with the personal attacks and personal comments....

The reason he doesn't GET IT is because he has never had to give up slots before. The legacy airlines have built most of the terminals (or at least renovated them), paid for the slots, and have created strongholds at some of the busiest airports in the US. Doug doesn't seem to understand, or care as you say, that allowing in better funded competition (like SW in PHL) will lead to your demise. Those airports like LGA and DCA are right now our best profit centers, primarily because we have most of the slots and gates. This is obvious to everyone except Parker. That is why a merger with NWA instead of US would be better for DL, since there would be no assets sold at any of those airports, since NW and DL do not compete directly to any cities from them. The best example is SWA in PHL. They came in, started to grow, and US is feeling it big time. The same will happen if they get into LGA or DCA.

Hey, it doesn't matter anymore, this deal is toast. Congrats. Hopefully the rest of the BK road works out well for y'all. Everyone who is an employee of either one of these carriers should be happy about this.

He may be at it again if Tilton gives in.....the DOJ may not like it though

U.S. Air could still take part in airline-industry consolidation, according to analysts at Bear Stearns.
"We don't think the M&A story is over," analyst David Strine wrote in a note to investors. "There are other, more willing players -- e.g. United (UAUA :
- that could also be a potential partner for [U.S. Airways.]"
