AirTran plans to start the following international service on May 24:

Four weekly roundtrip flights between San Antonio and Cancun.
One daily roundtrip flight between San Antonio and Mexico City.

AirTran plans to start the following international service on June 3:

Daily roundtrip between Orange County, Calif., and Cabo San Lucas/San Jose del Cabo.
One daily roundtrip between Orange County and Mexico City.

Connecting to Orange County through one a day from SFO and one a day from LAS.
Still need Mexican govt approval.

Bring it on. It will all be done in a purple 737 by SWAPA pilots soon enough. (Welcome aboard AirTran Brothers and Sisters)

Choke on it G.L. SWA is coming for you.

Ummmm, really? You are actually pulling a lot of flights OUT of ATL, down to 175 a day, and you are raising fares. You had a terrible 3rd quarter (the most profitable of the year for most), and you have lost your price and hedging advantage. Yeah, keep it coming. You also ruined your culture by pulling that stunt with management for your SLI, and when he asks for money coming up here, you will do it, or the next merger he won't back you up and you will go to arbitration like everyone else..... you were saying....

I am glad the Airtran guys will help you out flying the INTL stuff for awhile. You still need to concentrate on VNAV and autothrottles. Someday you will figure it out. Adios! (that is goodbye in Spanish)

Bye Bye---General Lee

Genital,

Here's a news flash...Southwest bought Airtran. We are now all the same, but thanks for the 'divide and conquer' mentality. I'm sure you will still be trying to use that years from now...

Same old, same old from the genital.

SWA etc ...... That's the plan for today.

Did I miss a press release or something? I haven't seen anything on that.

The press release on ATL being reduced to 175the departures was back in September at some time.GK mentioned making ATL like a BNA operaton with 175the departures.

Thanks. I guess I really haven't been paying attention lately. :)

Question is, will the 717s work their way around different parts of the country on a 3 or 4 day before returning to ATL? That would be nice.

Considering they'll have to go through Mexico to get to SNA, I'd say that would be a good guess...unless the 73's do that flying.

I wonder if the 71's have to do that same stupid noise abatement procedure in SNA that the WN 73's have to do? Apparently, no one else does it!

Good luck,
KBB
