I'm sure you also would not see "whistlin' ******************** box" for the F-27, "Lawn Dart" for the Metroliner or any of the other thousands of nicknames for airplanes. The people that write the wiki's are usually fans of the aircraft they are writing about. The nicknames usually evolve on the line and are almost never complimentary.

I have only heard "Lawn Dart" for 20 series Lear Jets....never for the Metro.
Metroliner = San Antonio Sewer Pipe or Garrets on Stick.

Lawn Dart, Sewer Tube, The Tube, Death Pencil, Tube of Terror, Texas Tampon

All legitimate Metro names.

You left out "Sweatroliner" for those of us who flew them in and out of YUM, IPL, PSP, IYK, and Bongo Bongo(Borrego Springs)!
