The people that write the wiki's are usually fans of the aircraft they are writing about. The nicknames usually evolve on the line and are almost never complimentary.

I have only heard "Lawn Dart" for 20 series Lear Jets....never for the Metro.
Metroliner = San Antonio Sewer Pipe or Garrets on Stick.
