Well:
1. No, fortunately, I didn't have to pay for it -- I didn't pay a deductable or anything. I feel lucky for this too.

2. No, it wasn't a tail dragger, and it It wasn't a ground loop. After I touched down , I let the nose down, and I think I MAY have had some rudder still in which, coupled with the crosswind, caused the initial swerving (nose wheel). I remember the plane lurching to the right (a lot) but I dont remember the wing tip striking, althought from the marks, this is what we determined happened. After this I probably would done better if I had pulled back on the yoke and used the rudder better to keep on the runway. and I wish to hell I would've pulled the mixture -- Like I said, I thought about it, but hesitated because I thought I was going to keep it on the runway. It was difficult because we practice for things like stalls etc., and learn how to react. I had a very short time to figure out what was happening and trying to counteract it. I knew I needed rudder to keep on the pavement, but didn't want to kick too much in and make it worse with another wheelbarrow or ground loop.
