Good link, Stimpy. I strongly suggest that EVERYONE get your NDR, even if you've never had any infractions. I think BigBird's question was, more specifically, whether the NDR is all they use, or do they also gather records by county. I do know for a fact that county court records are collected by background check companies IF they are requested by the customer company. I presume these background check companies charge more for that information, as it is quite laborious to gather. Airlines are required to gather certain information. If it costs them more to gather non-required information, do you think they're going to pay? While I do not know the answer to that question for all airlines, I do know that I never had to answer any uncomfortable questions regarding any county court records. Having said that, it's important to stress that you should always err toward total honesty, as opposed to having some guy in a suit meet you outside a classroom while you're in newhire training and ask you to go gather your belongings and come with him.
