Does anyone use CTA-FOS software?

Does anyone have any positive/negative things to say about this software? My company is looking into buying the software (about 18 grand) and I want to make sure it is good stuff before recommeding it.

Not sure how big your operation is, but we've been using it for 2+ years and don't know what we did before we had FOS. With all the interfaces it really allowed us to streamline our operation and do the job with 2 people instead of 3 (justifying the cost). The support is outstanding. The company really listens to customer comments and updates come about once every 2-3 months. My only (somewhat) negative comments are that it is very cumbersome and takes a while to learn, and the cost.

My company uses it and I haven't heard any complaints on its functionality. I just fly the planes and do not have access to use it so I can't give you any first hand opinion. However, the one thing I do see occur very frequently is too little login's available. I gather this program sells at different prices with specific numbers of allowed concurrent logins. Apparently the cost difference is big because my company runs into this stuff daily and the reason that has been quoted for not upgrading to more logins is the significant cost. We see a lot of "if you are not using FOS please logout" e-mails; I'm sure it is annoying to the operations personell who are trying to use it.

So I guess the only useful thing I can add is make sure you adequately determine how many people will and should be using it concurrently at your operation.

Thanks for your responses. Everything I've heard about the system is pretty positive. I took a look at the demo CD and it does look pretty complex, but it does pretty much everything for you. You're right about the user deal, though. The more users, the more money, and it's not cheap.....But, I've been trying to make sure we get the right number as well. I don't want to run into the problem you mentioned.
