Does one need a US passport to conduct DOD flying or can one have a green card while working for a US supplemental airline?

No, not typically. That is determined completely (in our case) by the country that you would be operating to/from.

Yes, you need a US passport to do Department of Defense flying.

I would disagree with that statement Mcnugget. I am a non-US Passport holder and am flying DOD. I believe it may depend on the airline you are flying for. Hope that helps timetoquit.

actually you don't even need a greencard, as the foreingres of AACS ( that's a union busting operation man mainly by foreiners flying contracts for Atlas Air out of europe) flew tons of mission during the iraqui buildup.

On a related note, I've heard that you need to hold a US Citizenship to fly US Mail. Anyone else heard this one?

Also inorder to fly US Mail you have a have some years, not sure I think 5 years of consistant residency in the US
