Ironic, isn't it?

They like the breasts, but shun the God who designed them. :D

Seriously, though. Do you think that something like Heather Locklear happens because of evolution?????

The bottom line is that The Hangar gives all of us an amazing opportunity to share opinions on an incredibly wide variety of topics that interest pilots...everything from landing techniques to job searching to Brazilian BBQ to large breasts. I'd hate to see that changed.

Do I find this site valuable? Yes, incredibly so!

That would bring the pot up to almost $2000! :D :D :D

Hey now, I'm just a lowly RJ captain with two babies and a wife with a fist full of credit cards...don't give Flightinfo any ideas! :D

Tell you what. When I get my first national TV spot for GE, I'll make a second contribution beyond the one I will make next month. :D :D :D

Yeah, it's really frustrating when your computer reaches out and forces you to read those threads. :D

Gotcha;)

I understand, and agree with you completely. I am a huge proponent of "If ya' don't like it, turn it off". I love to watch "South Park", and other offensive TV shows, and would be the first to complain if someone pulled the plug because some weenie found it was too offensive.

The question was, though, whether or not I found the site useful, and my answer is "less and less". The gist of the message tied the usefulness of the site to a request for donations, and the amount of donations should be tied to the overall usefulness of the site. Guess the market will decide.

Likewise, if "South Park" is pulled for lack of ratings, I can't really complain.

Another member recently made the same complaint, although the reason he suggested had nothing to do with the board itself or its membership.

The problem is that there ain't much going on in this little industry of ours, and the content of the Flightinfo "General" forum reflects that. Nobody's getting hired, there aren't any radical new planes coming anytime soon...there's just not much to talk about. So, some of us wander into rambling about sex and religion, Formula 1 racing and football, Arnold and Rush...Brazilian barbecue...the works. Even Generaltso, the topic Nazi, lost his credibility when he (she?) posted on the NFL thread.

Useful? I suppose you can debate that. But enjoyable? I believe so.

I don't think it's any less useful than it ever was. The guys that regularly contribute to this board and lend their expertise or advice are all still around. Ask a good question (something that hasn't already been answered a billion times), and you're just as likely to get a ton of good answers as you ever were.

Off topic posting doesn't bother me. It takes little or no effort to merely click on only the topics that interest me.

I second Dr. Evil's comments about Air, Inc. and any other Kit Darby enterprise.

Your currently not flying, but you post what you think.
I've had the bad opportunity to have MR. Darby in my
jumpseat to IAD out of ATL. He cares about Mr. Darby,
now body else. He's providing a service for those that
can't afford it right now.

Network yourself.

It's better then Air INC.

This website is fantastic, and is a great place to gather to BS, to collect information, network, and just be a pain in the @ss!

I was originally going to chip in $25.00 to show my support, but I am currently working and lucky enough to be upgrading so I figured I could afford to throw in more than that to help out the site and cover a couple of you that really can't spare the $$$ right now, especially before the holidays.

If anyone here can help out also, please do. Especially if you are like me and post alot here. MarK deserves the help.

Hey FL717 cab you throw some in for me so I don't look like a bad guy. You know us slowtation drivers are spending way too much cash on logbooks to put all our time in. Another day another page in the book. 1st type don't you think you ought to be studying.

Well, yeah... but at least we can agree on thinking the result is cool.

I don't. I landed a good job interview at an Air Inc. convention. I can't say anyone here has offered me a job.

That being said, this site (morons and all) is entertaining and I'll donate again as soon as they put a spell-checker on the thing.

Timebuilder,

Your response about how you are better off now, even though you lost your job, was one of the most eloquent comebacks I have ever read. Very nice.

Best of luck to you my friend.

Thank you. You are too kind. And, I have good news.

Yesterday, I earned my first money since finding an agent. Her office submitted my picture, called a "head shot" for some print photo work, and I was sent out to spend the day as a "doctor" in various hospital settings, wearing a tie and a white lab coat, with a stethescope around my neck. We spent the entire day shooting.

The client was an international technology firm, and one of their subsidiaries manufactures medical instrumentaltion and data systems. In a day, I made almost as much as I did flying the Lear for two weeks. In addition, I was able to meet the company's creative director, who will soon receive my CD with commericals and narrations for their corporate productions and commercials.

No, it isn't a national spot for GE, but it's a step in that direction.

And yes, it felt VERY good.

You should see me on the donor list shortly. :)

I have a hard time surfing all my other Hobbies "forums"
but this one is no doubt where the bulk of my time is spent, what a great tool for pilot guru's. I better donate now that I think about it...
