Take the back row of seats out of a Beech. Load in a Saab elevator down the aisle, eventually bungee-cording it in. Figure out a W&B with the VP of Ops., Chief Pilot and dispatcher over the phone on a Saturday. Fly the part from Albany to Charlie West. Pick up bad elevator and return it to Albany.

Loading elevator: 2 hours.

Flight to CRW: 2:15

Unloading elevator: 1 hour.

Loading old elevator: 1 hour.

Flight back to ALB: 2 hours.

Time spent: priceless.

Now you're doin' the Colgan.

Remember the........

DHD ALB - LGA 1 hour

DHD LGA - DCA 1.2 hours

Limo DCA - IAD 1.2 hours

Ferry IAD - HEF .2 hours

Taxi HEF - DCA 1.2 hours

DHD DCA - ALB 1.2 hours

TAFB 11.0 Block .2

Ahhh yes. Another Colgan classic. Best of luck as a new Capt., so you can share these and many others with your F/O's!

  • Take this job and shove it,
I ain't workin' here no more.
    My woman done left,
An' took all the reasons I was workin' for.
You better not to try to stand in my way,
As I'm a walkin' out the door.
Take this job and shove it,
I ain't workin' here no more.
I've been workin' in this Saab,
For nigh on fifteen years.
All this time, I watched my woman,
Drownin' in a pool of tears.
An I've seen a lot of my good folk die,
Had a lot of bills to pay.
I'd give the shirt right off of my back,
If I had the guts to say.
  • Take this job and shove it,
I ain't workin' here no more.
    My woman done left,
An' took all the reasons I was workin' for.
You better not to try to stand in my way,
As I'm a walkin' out the door.
Take this job and shove it,
I ain't workin' here no more.
Well, that rampman, he's a regular dog,
The airline boss is a fool.
Got a brand new flat-top haircut;
Lord, he thinks he's cool.
One of these days, I'm gonna blow my top,
And sucker, he's gonna pay
Lord, I can't wait to see their faces,
When I get the nerve to say:
  • Take this job and shove it,
I ain't workin' here no more.
    My woman done left,
An' took all the reasons I was workin' for.
You better not to try to stand in my way,

I ain't workin' here no more.
  • Take this job and shove it. V1 peace.....

do you think uncle phil will let us continue doing the colgan? Do you think he will add additional moves and maneuvers?

I just completed a move this week, and as I was unpacking my clothes I found a personally prized t-shirt circa 2005/06.

"Pinnacle and Colgan... Simply the Best." Irony, sized XL.

It's nothing personal against the pilots, I also get a good chuckle out of my "Compass Airlines... Best in Class." T-shirt as well.

Best of luck, I hope things change for the better for you guys there.
