So I want to get back in the freight world. I have around 3500 ATP, ce-500, and ce-650 types. Do I stand a chace at kalitta? I'm willing to drive up, and hand deliver my resume! So what are the chances??

post this in Cargo section and you will get an answer quicker. I'm curious what they say because I'm in the same boat.

They attend the aeroservice job fairs in miami which are free. Go to http://www.aeroservice.com/fair.htm to check it out, go and meet someone face to face who is there to receive resumes and talk to you about jobs, it'd go over better than walking in the front door.

actions speek louder than words, kick some ass

I dont fly for Kallita, but if you have around 2500Jet, then I would say you do stand a good chance! More importantly is your attitude during the interview and be prepared to address why them and all questions about why the 747. can you handle multiple time zone changes? Can you handle long haul, what about being out of the country for weeks at a time, some basic aerodynamic questions as it relates to heavy boeing flying. do well on the interview and they wont care that you have no prior boeing or heavy experience.

Kinda surprising the number of companies that are hiring jet captains

Kalitta Air - Hiring B-747 Captains, First Officers and Flight Engineers

Mesa Airlines - Hiring CRJ Captains, First Officers, Mechanics, Dispatchers and Flight Attendants

Southern Air - Hiring B-747 Captains, FO's and FE'

We are not hiring Captains off the street. There is a new hire class with 12 FOs and 6 FEs starting Aug. 6th, and another one with the same breakdown scheduled for October.

You pretty much need 4000 hours to get hired - not to say people have been hired with less in the past, but that is what they are looking for now.

And here I thought kit Darby had the bs dept locked down on career fairs! Guess it applies all over.-kingaira90

Slowtation huh? While I give that a Ce500 is a slow bird, I disagree. A CE-560 ultra is just about as fast as your erj145! I know for a fact that a CE-650 will blow the doors off your ERJ, and they will both fly higher than FL370! None the less you might be right!
