What do you guys think? I just barely meet all the minimums for NJA and I'm doing the whole single pilot 135 thing in the great lakes region but I have 0 jet time. Would I even have a chance at getting an interview?

If you can live where they are presently hiring for pilots and you really want to work at NetJets....what do you have to lose?

I agree the other two respondents. I got on at NetJets with no jet time, just turboprop. You just have to be willing to accept living in one of the five domiciles for some time to come.

And to quote one of those trite motivation posters, "You'll miss every shot you don't take", so why not apply if you're interested in the job?

Good luck to you.

Only if you don't want to foot the bill for a commute, just show up to work at the domicle on time. Correct?

You are indeed correct - I was just trying to point out that NJA is only hiring into a select few domiciles. But according to the contract, it only matters that you are at the appointed location at the correct time shown in the brief. The company can't force you to live anywhere, they can only dictate what your domicile is, assuming you accept the job.

Many of the new hires I have met are under the impression that the 5 domicile system is going to break down and they won't be making the comute they are currently making.

One heck of a gamble if you ask me.....it may or maynot payoff.

but don't sit on your hands waiting for NJ to respond, have another plan to enhance your resume. Look at going to an on-demand Jet operator like USA Jet, get some TJ PIC flying into out of different airports all over North America. Before 9-11, USA Jet pilots were almost hired over the phone by NJ

You are correct. Every new hire that came on after nov 05 WILL NOT HAVE HBA! Period. Not going to happen for so many years that it might as well not exist. The only way new hires will get HBA is when we fight for it in the next contract. So do not believe what the recruiters are selling, you will be stuck commuting for at least the next 4.5 years.
That is unless people stop applying to come to NJA.
