DME arc in a collins FMS

Is there a way to manually load a DME arc in a Collins fms (ams 5000)?

The database does not have the north arc to the ILS 27 into HLN (it does have the south arc).

Yes, there is.

First, go to the FIX page and draw the DME circle for the arc you wish to fly.

Then, go to source select and select VOR.

Next bring the VOR1 RMI up.

Finally, select A/P off and F/D off and fly it yourself.

If you get nervous, you may want to back it up on the SDU.

I didn't ask hwo to fly one, I asked hwo to load one in the FMS.

You can do it by creating a multitude of VOR/DME waypoints one degree apart (or whatever spacing seems suitable for the DME) example: HLN010/15, HLN011/15, HLN012/15 etc. or at good enough spacing so that it just continually fly's around the arc until you reach the loc. It's a caveman approach but other than that CallMe has your answer....
