Clint Eastwood's 10 Rules a Man Should Live By

In the February issue of Men's Journal, Clint Eastwood, gives 10 rules a man should live by. His list goes like this:

1. Call your own shots.
2. Be fearless.
3. Keep moving.
4. Love your job.
5. Speak softly.
6. Don't be predictable.
7. Find a good woman.
8. Learn to play the piano.
9. You are what you drive.
10. Avoid extreme makeovers.

Here, Here.

But, rule number 9 indicates that I suffer from a multiple personality disorder. I drive a 20 year old Diesel Pickup, a twelve year old Japanese Sports car, a new crew cab pickup, a Taurus wagon, or a Mustang convertable. Not all at the same time :-)

I'm a broken down Samurai with a siezed engine? That's disappointing.

Moving. I'm not so sure that's a good thing. I'm packing the budget truck again. This is something like the 60th move. I'm not sure Clint has any idea about that sort of thing.

I do call my own shot, though. They say gun control is hitting what you aim at. The dangling preposition for example.

I found a good woman, but I couldn't afford to buy her a house, so I threw her back. Catch and release.

How about a radio, sitting on the piano? I can play that.

I do speak softly. Except when angry, trying to make a point, addressing a large group, eating with my mouth full, intoxicated following a disturbing dental visit, or talking on an AT&T wireless phone. Then it's not so soft.

Does fear of heights count?

What is an extreme makeover?

My job does not love me.

I can't even predict weather the microwave popcorn will burn. That will have to do.

<<I can't even predict weather...>>

You might need to polish your balls. Just remember, it's all about pressure and temperature.

Looks like you've got that figured out Typhoon, 2 boys in 2 years!!:) Hey I'm in the same boat, my boys are 12months 3 weeks apart. They are 14 and 26 mos now. Add a 9 year old girl to the mix and it's chaos around my house.

Back to #9

What does it mean when you drive your beat up pickup to the job you love and then "drive" a $40 million jet?

Didn't Eastwood dump Sondra Locke years ago?
