Someone stated that Connie MAY HAVE just bought 12 Ex NWA-747-200Fs sitting in Marana, AZ. Anyone know if that is true? I know the JAL Cargo 744Fs are available, but UPS may have the inside track on those. If you did get those 747-200Fs, then that should equal some growth for sure.

No "may" about it. The airplanes are bought and paid for, and in the process of being moved. They were bought along with a large supply of spares, engines, etc.

Some will be put in service, some sold, some used for parts.
 
1st one is already in Oscoda and planned to be online in a month. 2nd is due there about now. Maybe as many as 5 will go into service. Rest are parts birds due to many factors (time, condition etc).
 
Another thread said they bought 120 engines!!!
