Looking for info on any openings for a corp guy in the DFW (Dallas Ft. Worth) area. QOL is the most important thing to me......I'm a family guy. My stats:

3,500 TT
2,000 jet
1,000 jet PIC
Current CE-500 type

Any info would be appreciated! Feel free to PM me.

Imaginaire in Addison is hiring.

Do you want a career? I just left the Metoplex for a Fortune 15 job (still in Texas thank God).

The chances of you getting the job, equipment and the area you want are next to nil.

Don't mix family with aviation if you want a positive outcome. Choose now, family or job. Seriously.

Is your family fully behind you? What are you looking for? You need to ask some questions of yourself and goals.

Flex is based in ADS but you said nothing about that. What is your true background?

Flex is a no.....hear too many bad things about them from too many people. I know guys there, and they spend lots of time telling me how terrible it is.

I will NOT choose family or job....that's stupid. You're making it sound as if you want to work in aviation, forget about family. I personally know that is a load of crap because I have 2 uncles and plenty of contacts/friends that have done aviation for many years with wonderful family lives, so don't tell me that b/c I know for a fact it's crap. It's simply a matter of finding the right position.

Anyway, if the choice comes to it, family wins 100% of the time, without a doubt. The minute this industry impedes on my family life, I'll drop it like a ton of bricks.

Location: Southeast.
Equipment: Could care less
Job: I care about 2 things: QOL first, money second. The jobs are out there. I know it. It's just a matter of being patient and finding that one great one. Does it have to be fortune 20? Hell no. I have a family member that flew a Citation 501 for a guy for 25 years b/c he was paid well and treated right. My God.....what a concept!!

Any true (not crap) insights here would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry if my post sounded like "crap". I hope you can find the job you want in the town you want flying great equipment!

I didn't intend to make my post about a choice between family or career. I have a friend that says he can't find a good corporate job in his town. He won't move because of family ties. Thats all I am trying to say.

Anyway, all the best.

Cheers- rum

I know what you're saying man. Location means a lot, and it seems like the only way you can get a decent job nowadays is to know somebody. Qualifications don't matter at all. You basically have 3 choices:

A: Know somebody connected with a good job.
B: Be type rated in something and get a semi-crappy job where they won't pay for type ratings because the job is so bad people get the rating and leave
C: Get a REALLY $hitty job where they will pay for you a type rating but at the price of a training contract, lousy pay, questionable legality and working conditions, and no life.

Essentially my goal is to stay somewhere in the North FL, TX, MS, AL, GA, TN, AR area (the southeast). Problem is most of the REALLY good jobs are in places like New York, Chicago, etc. (i.e. places I'd rather shoot myself in the head than live in)

The thing with me is, I've seen it firsthand.....Flying a G550 for a Fortune 20 company is not the pinnacle of the business for me. Would I look at it? Sure. Is it a necessity? No way. I'd be perfectly happy flying a Kingair 90 for a small company in the southeast for the rest of my career if I'm paid fairly and treated well. Hell those are some of the best jobs out there.

Well, the search continues. Anybody knows of something that doesn't suck, send it my way. :) Thx!
