I'm a foreigner with a green card and I've lived in the states since 1989. My current job is a CFI and I was just wondering if there are any pilots out there in my shoes that have had to go through the DOJ background check to get typed. If so, 1)how long is it taking? 2) is it such a burden for the employer to submit this extra paperwork that it might hurt your chances of getting hired?and 3) does it hurt your seniority #?
