Easy to have that when you pay an 88 CA 100 an hr.

As the business grows they will not have the turnover, and then their pilots will demand more.

Also, if you look at their utilization, it too will need to go up as they inevitably replace the 88.

I know guys that left that place to come here to DAL. Basing sucks and their QOL of life is worse. If they are to succeed that too will need to change.

They are not our competition.

Absolutely-

You are entirely correct, and these are the reasons this airline is so dangerous. I am not saying anyone in their right mind would want to work there (most regionals have better QOL.) I am saying they are a threat like you have not seen since the very early days of ValueJet. DAL had a lot more money to throw at ValuJet back then, and they still got smacked down. ALGT gets their planes for scrap value-and they buy parts, pilots, and mechanics on the cheap. They are run on a shoestring, but they are making money like the mint-in this economy!

My point is simple: These guys will be knocking on your door-soon. When that day comes, RA and Steenland will need all that goodwill they have squandered since they took the helm. Smart managers develop loyal customers and employees, and I think RA is hurting in both areas.

Allegient right now doesn't compete with anyone....and that has been their model for years. They don't have the reputation and name like WN and new LCC's the past couple years jumping into the market has failed miserably.

ALGT is simply a casino shuttle...
