I am willing to bet that united is willing to fly the la-hadena route and delta will lose it.

It's only delayed until late May I believe, and many airlines have already dumped their Haneda service all together. And it appears the Japanese government is okay with that, since they have their hands full at the moment. Sorry.

Hawaiians still flying HNL/HND with no intent of stopping. Our daily updates on the HND situation show us running about 70% load factors.

Lower expectations will mean a higher level of pain for our execs. Count on it!

I will be counting on it as much as my no vote will count, however I am relying on a lot of other people to stand their ground as well, and that makes me nervous. I hope the action is as strong as the talk.

Dan,

We are still going to fly 2 of 3 HNL to NRT flights, and continue nonstops from NRT to Guam, Saipan, and even Koror, Palau. Our HND flights were initially 744s to DTW and LAX, then changed to 777s, and now delayed until late May, which may be prudent if loads aren't great until this nuclear deal is over with.

You guys have a lot bigger footprint over there than we do. So you have much more flexibility. As of now we are going ahead with our Osaka flight.
It's heart wrenching what they are going through, they will recover, I'm guessing stronger than ever.
