Has any one heard this one yet?

I heard they offered SkyWest $900 Million to buy back their red headed step child.

In response, Gerry Adkins, coming to the realization that he bought an under performing turd of an airline, has offered Grinstein $100 million to take the headache off his hands.

This is just flamebait! Delta does not want ASA back and inspite of the headaches, ASA is making Skywest, Inc. lots of money. Skywest would never sell ASA. It might dismantle the place and transfer the flying to the Skywest side though but it still would be Skywest, Inc. ASA provides Skywest with a monopoly on the Delta flying and Skywest wanted to protect it's interest in SLC, which is why they bought ASA in the first place.

From what I hear when Delta sold ASA, there was a buy back clause.

It wasn't so much a buy-back clause as it was really a give-back clause. Skywest, Inc. is not going to give it or sell it back. Skywest, Inc. owns ASA fully and completely. Period!

Skywest did.......and they seem to be a corporation that has performed well. Am I wrong?

Recently experienced turns in and out of SLC and I do have to say the performance of ground crews in all seriousness-sucked worse than ATL. So far I am not impressed by Skywest at all.

Be glad you don't work for SkyWest...and had to fly out of Denver...the NEW Chicago!:) Takes forever to get someone to park you...and don't even talk to me about wheelchairs...

Well, kiss that so-called "monopoly" goodbye...rumors have it that ExpressJet will be getting some Delta flying soon...possibly out of SLC...It'll be nice to see an airline who's not a whore get some flying for a change!

Yeah... expressjet flying SKYW airplanes out of SLC for delta, then they will be called whores...

Yea, because we all know "rumors" pilots discuss always come true.

...well...my rotations weren't very smooth either...but everyone at least had a personality and was nice. I'll take that anyday over ATL.

Our delays weren't their fault anyway...

You're so delusional! It's been slowly happening since the day ASA was bought. Try convincing yourself otherwise.

AND, in reality, Delta owns Skywest. Over 60 % of Skywest Inc's revenues are now received from Delta!

Who's their DADDY?

Maybe the Expressjet rates will bring up the DCI average..

Maybe the Expressjet rates will bring up the DCI average..

It's doubtful, that the Expressjet rate would be competitive for any Delta Connection flying! Unfortunately, your rates are way outside the "new world order" DCI template for pilot costs.

But good luck, as an ASA pilot, I would love to see you get some so that our managment's central argument can be destroyed!

Maybe the Expressjet rates will bring up the DCI average..

I would love to see ExpressJet as a DCI carrier for that exact reason.

And also to make the SkyWest guys squirm as another carrier invades their turf. Welcome to 2002, boys!

Why are you happy about it?

Probably because as a Skywest pilot, he believes that growth at ANY COST is worth it!!. Giddy with the prospect of taking some flyin'!!

You union guys are all livin in the past. Experience, airmanship, and integrity are for the birds, shortcuts are where it's at!!
