General:

In response to your statement of "Who pays your salary? Delta does.", if I'm not mistaken, some company called Comair Delta Connection , 77 Comair Blvd, Erlanger, KY 41018 is the name on my paycheck. It does not say Delta Airlines. In fact, we have a president and his name is Regional Randy not GG. We can't negoiate anything with our "ghost" owner, nothing. We are Comair and they are ASA. So please don't tell me take Delta pays our salary unless you are will to take on our baggage with comes with one senioity list. Quit trying to have things both ways. We are either one with you or we are separate from you, not both.

I find this ironic. ASA/Delta spends tons of money to "upgrade" the inside of concourse C in order to make the pax more comfortable and relaxed before they trot downstairs onto the ramp dodging tugs and fuel trucks only to place their "carry on" on a cart in the pouring rain while wondering "Will this thing make all the way to JFK?!!!:)

My whole reason for posting this was because Delta seems to be spending a lot of money on different projects (including the $300 million at JFK and uniforms for stews) and at the same time demanding a lot of money from one group at mainline--the pilots. Maybe I was wrong pointing that out, and maybe ASA does pay for some of their expenditures with their own funds---I don't honsestly know. I apologize.

Bye Bye--General Lee:rolleyes:

Then maybe you should make it a point to "honestly know" before making childish statements like you did to start this thread.

It is all owned by the DAL shareholders, period. Who cares how they shuffle the money around. It is all a game designed to keep us (all DAL employees) fighting among ourselves.

Yes, I to wonder how we can be spending money on nice to have stuff like new uniforms, painted buses, boxes of Christmas cookies (I never got mine), executive bonuses, posters all over the place taking about teamwork and picking up FOD, etc. when we can't even afford to hedge fuel?

IB6,

Hey, the General is correct in bringing up this issue. ASA is owned and FUNDED by Delta, its parent company. Am I right or wrong? The fact is that mainline pilots are getting hounded and hounded and hounded and yet DAL management continues to dole out money on lower-priority projects. If I were a Delta pilot I would be outraged too...

Your criticism of the General is a bit too harsh. He has a right to know as a Delta employee how Delta money is being spent and if it is being allocated correctly.

PS--Who do you think will pay for the $20 million renovation of the C Concourse (or ASA gates)? Do you think ASA will? Or Delta? Hmmmmmmm. Nah, ASA and Comair always pay for their own expenses....

General,

Your assertions that CMR and ASA do NOTHING to contribute to DAL's bottom line are getting a bit tiring. Does DAL provide all the reservations, kiosks, etc.? Yes, of course. Obviously it would not make ANY sense to have duplicates of THOSE functions, too. We are, after all, wholly-owned subsidiaries of DAL; it only makes sense that our respective divisions would be inter-dependent toward the common goal of carrying our passengers efficiently and safely.

Do I believe that RJ's are the salvation of DAL? No, absolutely not. Do they have a role to play in DAL's continued recovery and viability? Yes, they do. There is no way that DAL would be able to offer various markets the service that they do with the frequency that is afforded using the Delta Connection program.

As I've stated previously, I am absolutely 100% in favor of offering your furloughed pilots a job and working together to return DAL to sustained profitability, but the digs and jabs have to stop on BOTH sides of the fence.

Now back away from the computer and enjoy some of the beautiful spring weather;) (I'm going to do the same).

KAK:D
