I think it unlikely, but ALPA has been talking "operational integration" in the last week.

See my other post on ASA negotiations. ALPA is finding itself seriously behind the power curve as events unfold in the RJDC litigation exactly as the Plaintiff's forecast in writing. That might be a way to rid themselves of the problem. Delta's pay rates to operate RJ's are much lower than Comair's (providing economic justification). Also, swallowing the COmair pilots might provide a bit of a poision pill for potential predators who would want to purchase Delta. American, US Air, United and Northwest have seniority list pilots flying RJ's while holding mainline seniority numbers. The precedent has been made and ALPA could use this as the foundation for all Delta flying being performed by Delta pilots.

I will not say that it is impossible for a Comair pilot to come out of this with a Delta number. In fact, it makes logical sense. But wow, what a weird turn of events that would be.

The only reason "Grinchstein" would go for this is if he felt it would be a "poison pill". Then there is the little matter of convincing The DALMEC....don't think it'll ever come to that makes too much sense!:D

ironic

What an ironic idea, considering the middle finger the Comair pilots gave DALPA about hring their furloughs, while the ASA pilots welcomed them aboard.

Read up on something called ONEALPA that ASA and Comair launched in the middle of DALPA's section 6 for contract 2000.. it was a total fiasco. Some of the senior guys at ASA and Comair actually demanded a DOH seniority integration with DAL. One day a $80K/yr RJ captain, the next day a $250K/yr 777..

There is now likely no love loss between Mainline and Regionals.
I thought this was the way you were supposed to "negotiate"...we start really, really high and they start really, really low. Then after 4+ years we meet in the middle where EVERYONE ELSE already knew we should be.....:)

I don't think they appreciated anyone "negotiating" with them while they were busy getting what the were long over due from DAL management. Keep in mind, I agreed with the whole premiss of the OneAlpa, but I found it's handling and execution to be utterly abysmal. Just one mans opinion though, it's all history now, and ASA is no longer part of DAL. ASA now has to convince Skywest of the merits of having ALPA on the property and a possible merger of that list, which should be an easy task, but were it for the constant in fighting at their MEC and LEC.

You need to have a brain to think moron!

So, you were one of those scumbags trying for a seniority grab? Glad to know! I bet you were in management wanna be training at that time too huh? Maybe SKYW management has a place for you, like under the desk!
