Pay: $22/hr
Hours flown 75/month
Pay = $1650.00/month

400 hrs TAFB = $4.12/hr

Yes we get paid $4.12/hr.

no you don't get paid $4.12 an hour. Time away from base does not equate to time working. Now if you want to figure out your pay based on hours on duty, I think that's a fair comparison. But you would find very, very few jobs which pay you for all time away from home.

They may try, but even our last BK judge---judge Prudy---told our CFO on the stand that no federal court will enjoin a strike(stop it). If they succeed in throwing out our contract, we will strike. We just got checklists on how to abandon an aircraft at the gate prior to pushback if a strike has been called while we are there.

Bye Bye--General Lee

I still think they will file an appeal and get the strike stayed. Since there isn't a legal precedence on the matter. Unfortunately she isn't the judge anymore and she was a little wild, so who knows if what she said was accurate.

Again, they may try, but we are not obligated to work without a contract. This isn't indentured servitude. And yes, she is gone, but the Norris Laguardia Act states courts can't get involved. The President may try too, but two other large airlines are based in TX, and I bet they wouldn't mind seeing us go away. It will be interesting.

Wasn't it Leo Mullin who said, "a contract's a contract"? Big lesson: you get what you negotiate... If you lay down and accept exploitation, people will mow over you at will. It is clear to me that IF Delta were in absolute dire need, then management would be at the table negotiating. The fact that they are not at the table says a lot about the industry's upcoming recovery and yield improvement.

And upcoming management bonuses after they get us to sign a 5 year contract. No, this is worth too much money to the creditors and management.

I agree, I wouldn't show up either if they got rid of my contract. I'm rooting for you guys, I really am.

I think they will do everything to keep you from striking and getting what they want, and if that doesn't work, then management will cave.

You sound like a genius.

According to the certificate on my office wall, I am one. Where was I...oh yeah, told you so. Now that ALPA has approved it, how fast will the pilots approve it?
