Delta, non-rev - ZED fares and embargos

I'm all briefed on jumpseating on DAL as an other airline employee, BUT....

Has anyone ever gone with a spouse using a ZED fare? Were you able to make a listing on the main 800 # or could it only be done at the ticket counter?

A friend told me there is a buddy pass embargo on the 29th and 30th of June. We WILL be travelling on the 29th...does the embargo ONLY apply to buddy passes and not ZED travellers and jumpseaters?
