This plane is currently on mainline routes and Delta plans to use them on more mainline routes.

No, I've heard it before, in all combinations: all your base are belong to us, all your routes are belong to us, all your aircraft are belong to us, etc. etc.
I figured it was from a computer game.
I just wanted to knock on Riddle folks. Hence the "" face.

My understanding is the the -705's were built mainly for Air Canada (Jazz) and are not able to be re-configured to 86/90 seats. The -900's are what DL ordered and are capable of upgrading them to higher seating capacity than the current 76 scope limit (if the scope limit is changed). I think there are range/fuel differences also between the -705/-900's.Are these aircraft actually 705's?? Maybe someone can enlighten me on the difference between the 705 and 900. Based on Bombardiers website I can't seem to see a difference besides the number of seats they are putting in them.

Wow,
Sure glad DALPA stood up and didn't give anything on scope!
Way to hold strong...
Good Job!
More mainline domestic planes are on the way (used MD90s from China is the current rumor, around 20 or so, and some will go to SLC and take back some RJ routes), and more 50 seaters are on the way out. I would think that would be great for revenue generation, and it would help nonrevs get on. Getting rid of 50 seaters that are unprofitable is a good thing. But, you never mentioned that part.
Why didn't DALPA get a reduction of 50 seater as a quid pro quo for giving in on relaxing the scope?
Yeah, I did that one oncei heard they are doing SLC to PIT

This has been upgraded to mainline (MD-90)
