Delta takes as many jumpseaters as there are jumpseats in the cockpit. Some planes have two in the cockpit---like the 767-400, 777, and 767-ER (DOM and INTL). The 764 does a lot of domestic flying from ATL---to LGA, BOS, MIA, FLL, MCO, PBI, TPA, SEA, SFO, LAX, LAS, HNL (and LAX to OGG--Maui), and Lima, Peru. The 777 does MCO from ATL, and CDG, LGW, FRA, and NRT. The domestic 767ER does quite a bit of transcons---from JFK to LAX and SFO, and also a lot of Florida from ATL. To see if you are flying in an ER---see if it has a "Business Elite" section instead of First Class. That would mean there are 2 jumpseats available. That may not be the case on INTL flights, since a third pilot might be needed and then Delta wants only one jumpseater I believe in the back. A lot of this is due to Delta, and I believe we have asked for unlimited jumpseats in this last agreement. I will find out eventually if we got them. Also, if a Delta guy has taken the jumpseat, ask him/her if they would write a pass-----they should do it for all other approved airline jumpseats. If not, they are jerks.....Good luck.
