Delta announces board for merged airline

Business Courier of Cincinnati

Delta Air Lines Inc. announced late Wednesday its new board of directors, now that the carrier has officially received clearance to merge with Northwest Airlines Corp.
The new board contains eight members from Atlanta-based Delta’s board, including CEO Richard Anderson, and four from Eagan, Minn.-based Northwest’s board.
In addition to Anderson, the Delta (NYSE: DAL) members are: Chairman of the Board Daniel Carp, John Brinzo, Eugene Davis, David Goode, Paula Rosput Reynolds, Kenneth Rogers and Kenneth Woodrow. Coming over from Northwest (NYSE: NWA) are: former Northwest CEO Doug Steenland, John Engler, Mickey Foret and Rodney Slater.
Northwest will temporarily become a subsidiary of Delta and will be known as NWA Inc. It will be listed under an additional Delta subsidiary, Nautilus Merger Corp., created specifically for the merger.
Ed Bastian, the president and chief financial officer at Delta, will transition into the role of Northwest president and CEO during the integration of the airlines.
Delta operates a hub at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Just saw the news on the merger. Biggest topics were that there was gonna be new uniforms phased in and that all the NWA airplanes were gonna be repainted...which I think is a good thing 'cuz that pearlescent color just didn't cut it without gold rims. :D

Please, threaten a strike unless Frankensteenland is removed from the Board.

Seriously.

You leave that tool in the shed and who knows what'll happen......

That crook Engler comes over??? sheees!!!!

"Let's make Delta Our Northwest!"

Seriously-there is WAY too much influence from these old NWA a-holes!!!

They should have euthanized Steenland long ago..

Anyone remember that memo he put out to all employees right after all the bankruptcy-related pay cuts telling them they should not be afraid to root through their neighbors' trash?

What a horrible person!

Delta should know what they are bringing on with idiots like this. I think this definitely bring DAL down a few notches. Steenland should have had no role in the new company at all!
