I know that Delta Airlines has its own Part 135 operation - was formed at Comair. It has grown quite a bit in the last year or two and now manages a large and growing fleet of bizjets - everything from Citations to a Global Express and GV. I have reviewed the website and it indicates that potential positions are open for Captains and FOs (can't confirm it though - they might be old positions already filled).
Questions for pilots familiar with this operation:
1. How are new pilots assigned to aircraft - depends on the "need" at the time or experience in type important?
2. Positives and negatives of working with Delta Air Elite
3. Is there much lateral movement among aircraft - if you start in a Lear, can you eventually move up to a GV?
Looking for honest opinions and personal experiences? Are there many airline furloughees there? If so, how do you like it vs. flying for the airlines?
Thanks for your comments. Looks like a good operation - growing quite fast and nice equipment...
