What possible reason would DAL want anything JetBlue has to offer? DAL doesn't want the Airbus, doesn't need the JFK terminal, and B6 has had nothing but trouble with the E190s, so why would we want it?

I know anything is possible in this business but IMHO I just don't see it.

They do need the new terminal at JFK. Thanks to Jetblue fixing the E190s, they wouldn´t be a bad option right now, and could be cheaper to buy in the future. The A320s could be used for the Florida stuff from JFK and BOS, and having an option to Boeing for future orders is not a bad thing. Having only one major supplier is a bad thing. Having three manufacturers (Boeing, Airbus, EMB) competing is good. If Delta wants to trade in the A320s for 737NGs, I bet Boeing would take them off their hands too. You never know.

Good points..but...what IF.....my scenario happened..a furloughed DAL guy has a line # at JB and at Delta. His line # at JB allows him to prolly fly Capt on the 320, but MD88 or 73-8 FO at Delta. Which one would he be stuck with?
Crazy...

I would immagine in that particular circumastance, the individuals in that unique situation would most likely get the better of the two seniority number possibilities. When it came down to it, they could always resign from the company that would result in the less favorable number and stay on with the other one. But who knows for sure.
