I hear it can be done...but I have no idea who would do it!imp:

(someting about a gps clock....with changeable time....tied to acars...not really sure though)
Just make sure you reset it to the current time before pulling into the gate... Block or better baby!!
unless you're mesa or pinnacle...yay crappy contracts!
Then the pilots discuss their own ways to cheat the system to make an extra sixty cents.
Let's see...posters here probably average $1.00 a minute.
10 min/leg x 5 legs/day x 18 days/mo. = $900/mo. extra
Cheating or not, that's a lot more than 60 cents...
I love the duality of flightinfo.com. Pilots come to this board to comment on dishonest management, sham bankruptcies and the cheating of pilots to make a buck. Then the pilots discuss their own ways to cheat the system to make an extra sixty cents.
If anyone is looking for the moral high ground in aviation it's located somewhere on the continent of Atlantis. Let the rest of us know if you ever find it.
Resetting the clock is FRAUD, and not only will you be FIRED but you'll probably get your certificates revoked by the FAA and do some duty time in the Federal Penitentary as the sacrificial lambs the government is always looking for.
BTW, it's not the company that will bust you. It will be the Whistle Blowers Hotline call by a pi$$ed off pax you left behind.
Don't give them the opportunity! Here, I just thought this up:
It's quite simple:
1) Close the door.
2) Pass the paperwork through the escape hatch or whatever opening you use to spit your gum out.
No, no,....no need to thank me, we're all in this together.
our acars starts the time when the cabin door is closed and armed. so if we are running behind we load the pax up and shut the door then pass the paperwork thru the CA side window. no reprogramming needed.
personaly if i were running the airline I'd just have my crews call the times themselves ala SWA then your never late.
Waiting 20 mins for a headset in PHL, yet on time. Sure helps out the mangement folks in N. INDY![]()
Our departed XJ CP put out an unofficial memo saying that we'd better start adhering to the FOM when calling times. He told me that XJ had suspended a pilot that week for shutting the door, popping the brake and calling out while not even having a pushback tug at the nose. Twenty-five minutes elapsed before the tug showed up and operations watched with their fancy camera as the situation unfolded. Remarkably, the operations crowd aren't the people reporting the pilots. Our ramp supervisors are. They're desperately trying to get management to hire more rampies, especially for this winter. But, when pilots constantly call out on time (most of the time fraudulently) management sees that the number of ramp personnel is adequete - hence the "on time" departures. Ramp supervisors then attempt to bring the pilot "brake popping" to light.
Heads up to those who still do it. And it's amazing and embarrassing to know that LOTs still do. Simply not right. And not worth it.

That's BS, if that door is closed, you should be getting paid.
