You guys keep mentioning Lear 35's and Falcon 10's with DEEC's... Obviously this is an STC mod because all the Lears and Falcon 10's I flew didn't have DEEC's...

Is this a pretty common upgrade owners are doing?

Just curious...

You would be correct. :)

Yes, If I recall, if your original analog computer bites the dust, Honeywell will not give it back to you, but send you the DEEC's.

Additionally, when your engines are up for MPI I believe they put DEEC's on it at that time.

We had an unexplained computer fault with an original analog computer last year and Honeywell put DEEC's on our bird. There was no cost to us.

WOW! No Cost?

I haven't flown the older Garretts (-2, -3's) for a while... just seems like a lot were getting DEECs...

The DEEC's work quite nice on the -40 and -60 engines...
 
DEEC OPS

Once again figure the N1 for each takeoff!!!! OR.......are you MSP GOLD? In that case I guess it does not matter.
