What is 'deck angle' ?

Deck Angle or Pitch Attitude does NOT (necessarily) = Angle of Attack.

deck angle is important.. too much angle and your bbq grill may roll off the side (if its equiped with wheels) if its not properly chocked. its a good idea to have railings installed to keep your drunk friends from falling over the side too.

Here's a good analogy: The L-1011 has a high deck angle on short final!

I think the highest deck angle I have seen lately was a Falcon 20 landing on a fairly short runway. That guy was nearly draggin his tail.
