Lots (if not all) airlines use type IV fluid- it is an anti-ice fluid. Type I cleans the wing off, type IV gives you more time before you have to apply type I again.
 
I don't know about you guys, but we are prohibited from using undilluted type I.

Type I fluid is less effective if its applied at 100%. Think about 50/50 or 60/40 mix is the most effective for type I. Which is why you see a mix in that neighborhood used a lot.
 
It's usually 40% broom, 30% hands, 10% credit card (and no not to pay for deice) on the Citation...April 2 that's all the more I have to say about that...
