guys, I need some advice......

I have recently gotten a pair of DC ANR (or ENC) and they seemed like heaven on earth, or just above it, at first.
Now I fly with the ANR swithced off, cause its too bloody annoying.
If I sit perfectly still and dont move my head at all, its wonderfull. Very quiet, can hear pax/crew talking behind me etc etc. But with the ANR 'ON', as soon as I turn my head or chew on crew meal, or look down to pick something up from the floor, the cacophony of electronic whooping and scratching & popping in my ears makes me want to rip the bloody thing off my head!

Has anybody else experienced problems like this with their DC's ? Is my set faulty? or is it a DC thing, the electronic noises?

I am thinking of returning the set, but would rahter not, if anything can be done. It takes a very long time to get stuff like this couriered over here.

Thanks in advance

I had the exact same thing happen to my 10-13X. I only had them for a month before that started to happen. I called customer support and described the electric "popping" noise and when it happened. They told me that it sounded like a bad module (i believe that is the word they used) in the ear cups. So, I sent them back and I had them back in 12 days (which seemed like forever when using a passive headset again!) as good as new. The only part I was unhappy about was that I had to pay shipping to get it to them. It was $15 with $550 worth of insurance. I sent them via USPS. It seems to me that they must have had a bad batch of modules b/c when I was explaining my problem he seemed very unsurprised, like this had happened before. It may suck sending them back, but you paid good money for ENC. This has been my first trouble ever with a DC in 7 yrs but they took care of it quickly and professionally.

FI mate, what sucks even more is some bastard indigenious african stole my flightbag with R30 000 worth of my equip and this headset is part of the insurance payout I had to wait 2 months for!!

But, if they know about it and they fixed it, hopefully they can fix mine too. I would hate to loose a set of very comfortable headsets. The b1tch is gonna be couriering them from here (Namibia) to USA,Because I have to work through the shop I got them from, which is in Durban, RSA.

Was thinking they might just suck and eyeing a pair of Bose or Seinnheiser.....

That's promising news. I shipped mine away yesterday. Eight months in and the ENC went completely TU. Felt like one of the cords was loose where it entered the module. Oh well, I knew keeping my old 13.4s would come in handy someday.
