I'm taking my family to the Dayton airshow this summer. If you've been there before, I'd love to hear any tips you have on places to go, stay, things to see (the kids are ages 2, 4 and 6). What's the best day to go? Thurs, Fri, Sat or Sun? Should I plan on spending more than one day at the airshow? Is the Wright Bros exhibits worth seeing with the kids?

Anything else you can think of, I'd love to hear it. The kids are pretty excited about seeing the Blues and some of the old and new military hardware. Despite my suggestion that they pursue an honest living, they seem to be interested in aviation!

Thanks!

Dayton

Buckeye probably covered this for you, but others might not know. The USAF Museum is in Dayton, not far from Dayton/Cox international. Admission is free. They have a multitude of A/C on display-from a Wright Flyer to an XB-70 to a YF-22. The only charge is for movies in the imax and a trip to the anex (Presidential A/C). It is easy to spend a whole day there. There is human interest stuff for the non-Aviation family/friend.
