Keys for success

Hi everyone, It's Dave.

I'd like to share with you some keys to success that have worked for me, and probably can work for you too.

1. Always negotiate a Golden Parachute (thanks for the advice, Steve and Rakesh).

2. Always establish a set of circumstances where it is financially advantageous for you to fail. I call this the LOSE-WIN Scenario.

3. NEVER let your word stand between you and $4.5 Million. Integrity is overated.

That's it for now. I'll talk to you next week.

That is funny.

And, we at Delta have learned that Leo may now get between $600,000 and $800,000 a year in pensions--and he was given 28 years "service credit" even though he worked here for 6-7 years. That's great. Have a good day.

Bye Bye--General Lee:rolleyes:

PS--Who do you think gave him that contract? Starts with a "G."

So nice to hear from you Dave:

At least I am senior to someone on this forum.

If I were you you, I think I wouldn't try non-reving on US Air anytime soon.

Good luck cleaning out the next company.

Best wishes!!

"Non revving????"

I would be surprised if Siegal has ever non-revved. I remember hearing that he bumped four people out of first-class bringing his family back from the Carribean. I'm sure Dave was in a hurry to get back to work and figure out how to improve revenue and brand-loyalty.

Hi everyone, it's Dave!

Although this is completely true, I do not see what purpose it serves to focus on the past. We, once again, must look towards the future, put our differences aside, and put our customers first (and cut labor costs, of course). When I'm non-revving (because I certainly don't plan on buying a ticket), treat me like your most valued customer.

Remember, we're all in this together (in a manner of speaking). I'm counting on all of you to buy my book as soon as it hits your local bookstore.

That's it for now. I'll talk to you next week.

Dave

Personally I would like to welcome Dave to the boards. While I felt a certain responsibility to defend his actions. the sincerity that he projects here on his own will certainly add flavor as well as substance to the debate.

As President Bush was coming to Miami today, I asked him what he thought about Dave joining our threads. He was quick to point out that he was happy because the members of this board have been beating him up and on his case and he was glad that there would be someone else for them to pick on.

He also thought it would be good if Dave PFT'd for the vice presidentcy now that he came into some money.
