Does anyone know of any good flying jobs in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex? I'm going to move there and I am hoping to find work there if I can't get an airline job soon

Good luck!!

I've been here for a month now and haven't had any luck yet. If you find something let me know; I'm pretty close to KDAL.

I think that I will stand in this line for awhile. A helo gig would be just fine.

I'm not sure what you are looking for, but I think Texstar Air Freight in Denton was looking for people. Not sure if they still are, but if you need a flying job it may be worth a try. They fly C402C's.

Thank you very much. I will look up that number.

ASA

CF34-3B1,

I have sent ASA many resumes, but nothing yet, and I would love to work for 'em; but I think one needs to know someone there to get an interview.

Are you willing to walk my resume' in? It sure would be great!

Wow, I did a search for "Texstar Air Freight" and the first thing I found was an obituary for one of their pilots. He was killed in a plane crash in Del Rio, TX.

I'm in Austin, also looking for something in Texas. I never did find the company website, anyone else had any luck?

That depends, are you a hot lookin' blonde chick in a miniskirt? :)

Seriously though, from what I've heard, having an internal letter of rec. IS a big help, as is current 121 experience.

Do you know anyone at ASA? Maybe try hanging out at Gators on Airport Freeway?

Tex Star

As far as the comments for Tex Star Air Freight. I can tell you 100% that they are not looking for pilots. We just hired two within the last couple of weeks and have all that we need. We do fly C-402C's and they are in good shape. It is definitely a great place to work. The Del Rio accident was when they were called Texas Air Charter and it is a totally different atmosphere now. There is a great respect between the maintenance and pilots so everyone looks out for one another. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I will do my best to answer your questions. Good luck. Also there is no website for Tex Star. The website www.raa.org has a little info on us.

KSU, 72Long,

Have yall tried Airnet? Or GTA? Or Projet? Or Cirrus (not sure if this one is still around)? All of these are out of Love Field. I'm not really in the loop out there anymore. I did the 135 thing out there in the lat 90's so things might have changed a bit.

Hope this helps.

Airnet, GTA and Projet are out at Love Field. Cirrus is not there anymore. Hope this helps.

GTA is short a pilot or two, but arent they always?
ProJet was not hiring last i heard.
Texstar did indeed just hire two.
Airnet...if you do get hired, fat chance of getting Dallas.
