I was looking to burn some holes in the sky and not my credit card.

Is there anything in the DFW area (preferably up north) under $100 an hour?

I talked with Marcair out of Roanoke and they have a 150 for $78 an hour. Rather pricey.

Thanks!

Nowadays $75.00 - $78.00 is about as good as it gets for a 150 rental...Here it is $75.00 *wet*....get it fast...150's are slowly disappearing....Sadly because they are alot of fun to fly. Viel Gluck.

Yeah, I think its lame you can't find a cheaper rental. I don't get it though with all of these training planes with G1000s. When I was learning to fly it was easy to learn the GPS. It was the flying part that was tricky.

I don't like em either...If info the displays show is helpful. But I'd rather do steam guages. The only real feature I like about the G1000 is the XM satelite radio feature which can show weather. Most schools offer G1000 aircraft to train in. They try to get you to use the G1000 birds. But there is no need. Get al your ratings and then later if you'd like to learn G1000, just buy the SIM or get a check out. I'd rather save my money.
