The Delta Gouge is fairly accurate. There are a few questions that they have changed. It is the same concept on most, but the answers and questions are different. Overall it has the same gist. 42 Questions in 42 Minutes. All multiple choice. The second part is the personality test. The third part is 12 separate test. It is by far the most challenging part. It took me 1:30 but it can take as long as three hours.

The HR portion is spot on. They did throw out a few questions that were not seen anywhere before. Keep in mind DAL basic principles of Safety, Customer service and efficiency. Know when you have changed that order in the past. Over all they want to know that you still love to fly. It is a passion and that it was something that you got in. Not something that your parents put you in to.

Over all it was a very positive experience. I will post a update or aviation interviews when I get a chance.

Im confused...you bypassed World for a DL interview, but are upset that World has not called you for their upcoming class?

Thanks for the update in the gouge!

12 seperate tests? 1:30 for 12 tests?

Thanks for the clarification.

Yes, 12 tests. That is the last of three parts of the test. Total should take anywhere from 1:30 to three hours depending on breaks and how many times you do the test portion.

Not upset that WLD did not call. Just curious about what is going on over there with the Director of Ops stepping down? IE pool dumpped etc.

Just interviewed yesterday. All the gouge out is laser guided. Nailed the interview, knowledge and psych. Tanked the cog. Unfortunately, all the best descriptions in the world can't prepare you for what they are like. It was tough. Do-able though. It was just one test of the 15 parts that I tanked on (the balance beam coupled with the 1/2/3 short term memory thing). I think you need to get about 50% or so right on each section of the cog. JS in HR tells you and shows you where and why when he said "No soup for you!"
The bright spot is all I have to do is come back in 6 months and take that one test again. So I got that going for me...which is nice. Going to write the damn program myself to practice this stuff. Someone could make a killing out there if they did this.
Good luck to all those with an opportunity. Oh, and to confirm another thread, yes, they said they may throttle back the original new-hire #'s due to the sudden returned interest in their furloughs since the re-lighting of the FLY DELTA JETS sign. JS didn't say specific numbers, but a couple of the interviewee's with me had heard there were in the ball park of 270-300 folks on the street that hadn't said "no" yet. Not that all were returning either. FWIW.
Again goood luck.

Jeeves;
It was great to interview with you. It will be a good thing that they are slowing down. Heck we might still be in class together:)
