Good question. I have no clue. I would think it would be the same for off line pilots--the number of jumpseaters depends on the number of jumpseats on the plane----1 normally except 2 on 764's, 777's, and 767ERs (INTL). You might want to call some of your Delta dispatcher friends and ask....

Bye bye--General Lee:rolleyes:

General, any chance you guys will ever change this? For a contract that leads the industry, I'd think you'd have better.

Since Blue' does 'ever seat's a JS', maybe Song could too? :)

Stillaboo,

Maybe you haven't heard, but Delta wants 31% of our current payrates. I just don't think they will give us anything right now, but maybe---if we do give up some pay----there will be additional jumpseats opened. I would like that to be the case---the extra jumpseats that is.

Bye Bye--General Lee;)

Lets see 31% paycut for an extra JS? General FDJ etc., keep the pay. I use the jumpseat, but I for one rather have someone with good pay for all to try and attain rather than 1 more JS.

FLB717,

We're working on it, but management is trying hard to take some away. I don't think we will give 31%, but 15% might do the trick. It's not easy when you guys are nipping at our butts. See if you can get Leonard to lay off a bit and go expand more at PHL.:)

Bye Bye--General Lee;)

Gen,
I was thinking you could leave us alone. Every time we go some place we get dumped on with extra DAL capacity. FNT?, remember DAL did not go until we did then it was 3 MD88's a day, didnt work so now it RJ's. Just as an example. When I started we had around 12 or 14 monopoly cities from ATL, now 0. Back to the original thought, good luck and hold tight. I feel real strong that DCI (ASA/CMR) will not take cuts, so you should not need to much either. My .000000005 cents. Oh yeah our next growth area DFW. I guess we get the bring the 717 back home to AA. Im looking out for the AA baseball bat from them, they love to hit the comp, ask legend.

FLB717,

I don't remember having 3 MD88's at Flint, maybe that was Akron? Anyways, yeah---Delta will use the RJs to combat you at those cities and even Freeport, but passengers will learn that your 717s are more comfortable.....Maybe someday we will get some kind of a 100 seater that will compete well against you. As far as DCI taking paycuts, if they do not, I suspect Delta will pawn more flying off to Skywest and Chataqua. If they do, they will grow, and that growth has to be approved by Dalpa. I think we will offer around 15%, and get a contract extension to wait for better times. It will all be interesting indeed. Enjoy DFW and taking on AA--we tried and didn't do as well, and now our RJs compete with their MD-80s and 737-800s---sounds like a fair fight, right?

Bye Bye--General Lee:rolleyes:
