What kind of eye test does DAL do for the interview? I go next week, and am kind of worried - my AME doesn't do all that much.

It's a toughie, I hate to say. It's the kind where you look inside the machine. I am hestitate to say more, but the medical exam is what a real first class medical should be like.

I guess they test corrected and uncorrected vision?

If you can pass a Class I, you can pass the Delta Physical.

If you have trouble with anything (usually the depth-perception), ask for a retest with alternate means.

If you can't pass that, you shouldn't be flying anyway.

Don't sweat it.

BTW - I was placed in the hearing-booth for my Air Force Physical and left for ten minutes before someone decided to turn on the machine. I was hearing the Humble Telescope and pressing buttons like crazy...great memory.

Many pilots have waivers and SODA for various vision anomolies. Most are fine pilots.

I would be more concerned that you are an LSU person! Mostly Bulldawgs, Yellow Jackets and War Eagles at Delta. Good luck!

Isn't that what they call a Coke down in Georgia?

You got it backwards. We refer to everything here as a Coke. That includes Dr. Pepper, Sprite, 7Up, RC, and the rest. We just say what flavor of coke we want.

Never, ever, ever say soda here. And the first person to say pop gets a beating. :smash:
