Anyone see the irony in this? ALPA facilitates the Request for Proposal bidding process and then complains about the result.

It is the SCOPE, stupid.

There are plenty of experienced pilots at the airlines who are seeing their flying outsourced.

Agreed Fins, but we must also deal with the "supply" side of the equation. From both a safety and collective bargaining point of view, the low barriers to entry are a problem, and I applaud ALPA for finally admitting we have a problem. Now the question is, whether or not we have the power, or the interest to actually change it.
