Saw USAJet rep in DFW yesterday...you have to live within 7 miles of Willow Run airport and when on call have to show within 25 minutes of the call and get the airplane started within 20 more min. Not my idea of fun....

True, but the money is better than yanking gear in a CRJ for a regional. USAjet is doing very well, I talked with an FO there...you can uprade to the DC9 within a year or leftseat in the DA20. I hear the DA20's are going to be phased out, so maybe more opportunity to get into the "9". I guess they have lot's of furloughed NWA guys working over there and recalls are happening fast. If your an FO from a regional, it's a good option.

Any USAjet guys care to chime in?

DA-20s are here for the long haul, that is why they were all converted to RVSM

Money is not everything! I did the freight thing in the Falcon 20(which is a great airplane by the way) and the quality of lifeSUCKED..SUCKED...SUCKED.

I jumped over to the regionals where I now fly new equipment and have19 days off a month. Sometimes I miss it..then remember climbing intobed just before the pager goes off for a 16 hour day. No thanks.

Yes, 34K is the monthly minimum at the guaranteed 65 hrs/month.

$34K a month for 65 hours!!! $34K X 12 months = $408K a year.

Randy, I'm moving back to YIP and I'll help you rebuild the Yankey Air Museum on my days off. I will never complain about urinating in an empty water bottle at those wages.
