Is there a place to read the cvr of well known accidents? There was a re-enactment on TV just now of the Alaska Air crash and I wondered how true the 'lines' were. Seemed like they left an awful lot out which is not unexpected - but I wondered how it really was handled,... what those poor souls were dealing with.

I am 90% certain it was on "NGC" (National Geographic C....?) which is 276 on my DirectTV satellite television, a show called 'Seconds from Disaster'. It is sure to come on again as they often replay shows every 2 nights, not tonight (Fri) though.

As for my evaluation of the show... I know so little about the accident that I would be illadvised to make any sweeping comments. There were some things that made me go, 'oh, sure' but for the most part the technical aspects of the accident investigation seemed Very Believable.

I'll try to catch it, I found this accident pretty interesting. If you haven't done so already listen to the ATC conversation from the accident, pretty spooky. Also if you have time read the full transcript from the CVR, those guys were doing everything they could to get that plane down safely........
